Strange Brew: The 1960s
A selection of works from the Gallerys Permanent Collection installed in the Clifton Hall Link, focusing on an era that produced some of the most culturally responsive imagery in American history. The art that sprang from the 1960s counterculture fuses elements of surrealism and pop art with swirling patterns, neon colors, repeated motifs, and bizarre iconography. The exhibition includes works by artists Werner Philips, Larry Slezak, and William Weege.
